QUEENSLAND JOURNAL OF EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH

Journal of the Queensland Institute for Educational Research

In September 2004 the Queensland Journal of Educational Research merged with Issues in Educational Research. A full archive is now in development, to recognise and preserve the substantial contribution that QJER made to scholarly publishing of educational research in Australia, from its inception in 1985, as Queensland Researcher, until its final volume in 2003. The notes below are a part of the archival record and are not current advice about QJER and QR or its publisher, QIER. For current advice please see [IIER Home]

The Institute

The Queensland Institute for Educational Research (QIER) has been associated with the Australian Council for Educational Research since the establishment of the national body in 1930. Since then, QIER has worked in cooperation with ACER to promote research in Queensland through seminars, lectures, and the publication of the Institute's Journal. The Institute draws its membership from professional educational researchers, the academic community, teachers and educational administrators, as well as from persons with a general interest in the betterment of education.

Queensland Researcher goes to all members of QIER and provides coverage of a diversity of areas, all associated with educational research. The diversity is suggested by the following list of some areas:

Inquiries concerning Institute membership should be directed to:
