Queensland Journal of Educational Research (formerly called Queensland Researcher) is an international refereed journal covering all forms of research, scholarship and enquiry on educational theories, issues and practices. All articles are reviewed anonymously by at least two indelendent referrees.

The purpose of the journal is to provide a forum for publishing the results of all forms of disciplined enquiry in education, critical analysis and debate on research issues and research outcomes, and advancement of greater understanding of educational issues and effects among educational researchers and educational practitioners.

Subscription rates: $A44 per volume (two issues). Overseas airmail is provided on request for a further $A10. Members of the Queensland Institute for Educational Research receive the journal with their membership: Individual members $A44 per year; retired/student members $A28 per year; institutional members $A88 per year.

THE QUEENSLAND INSTITUTE FOR EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH

The Queensland Institute for Educational Research was established in 1930 to promote the cause of research in education, conduct programs of educational research, and co-operate with the Australian Council for Educational Research.

The objectives are:

  • to promote as far as possible, in co-operation with existing institutions, the cause of research in education;

  • to draw up programs of educational research to be undertaken by the Institute;

  • to hold regular meetings for the purpose of promoting discussion on educational topics;

  • from time to time to convene lectures on educational matters to which non-members may be invited;

  • to issue, periodically, information of educational interest; and

  • to act in close co-operation with the Australian Council for Educational Research.
The Institute provides a representative to the State Institutes' Standing Committee of the Australian Council For Educational Research. To find out more about QIER, contact:
